| 摘 要： | VOA特别英语在英语学习者中十分流行。普遍认为它适合英语学习者练习听力及提高英语水平。通过对比分析两篇VOA英语新闻（分别是同内容的标准英语新闻和特别英语新闻），以系统功能语言学为理论框架，探讨VOA广播新闻语篇体裁的特点，VOA特别英语的特别之处，以及作为真实的语料它是如何适应英语初学者。

| Abstract: | VOA Special English is very popular among English learners who think it is helpful to improve learners listening profi ciency, or even improve their English. The present paper analyses two discourses, one from VOA Standard English News, the other from VOA Special English News, which are of the same content. Based on the theories of Systemic Functional Linguistics, this paper explores the features of the genre of broadcasting news and the specialty of VOA Special English, as well as how it is designed for English learners. |
