退役运动员在我国市场经济转型中成为一个特殊群体。这一群体日益成为新的弱势群体，可以归结为其受到的社会排斥机制。退役运动员群体受到了来自社会政策、社会保障体制、劳动力市场就业、社会关系网络以及文化等方面的排斥，这些排斥因素相互作用，形成了对退役运动员群体的排斥机制。

The Mechanism of Social Exclusion to Retired Athletes

During the transition of market economy, retired athletes constitute a special group. They have become a new disadvantaged group due to social exclusion mechanism. The exclusions to them come from social policies, social security system, labor market, social network and culture; the factors producing exclusions mutually interact and structure the social exclusion mechanism to retired athletes.
