海峡两岸现代派文学都是在西方现代主义文艺思潮影响下产生的。“五四”时期，大陆的新文学家就开始了对西方现代主义的认知和实践；台湾现代派文学的步伐稍慢，始于50年代初，兴旺于60年代。它们在继承传统文学的基础上，放眼世界，纳入新潮，体现了与世界同步并呈现出自己独特的面貌。本文对海峡两岸现代派文学的异同作了一些比较。

The modern style literature between the straits came into being after the existence of the Westem modem literary and artishc trend. Durin the period of the May 4th Movemen, the new writers of the hanland began their lknowledge and Prmhce on the Westem dsrm; the modern literature of Taiwan advanced more slowly, which began for the earfy 1950s and flourished in the 1960s. On carring forward the traditional literature, they have had the wbole wall in view, gone into the new trend and developed into the whque style. The article offered comparison of the similarities and differences of the modem style literature between the sthets.
