| Abstract: | Wang Xianqian was one of the great Confucianists in later Qing Dynasty and a well-known learned scholar in Chinese later history. He was dedicated to the collating and editing of documents and books and block-printed 40 kinds of books all his life. His books included book-house edition, printing-house edition and family edition. Wang Xianqing attached such great importance to proofreading and editing work that his block-printed books were accurately collated and elegantly printed. So they were the best editions in later Qing Dynasty. |
