概念隐喻理论与英语词汇的习得

摘    要:隐喻作为人类思维和认知世界的方式,与词汇有着密不可分的联系。本文介绍了概念隐喻的含义和与词汇习得的关系,指出在英语词汇习得和教学中应充分运用概念隐喻知识,重视词汇的隐喻意义和文化内涵,这样学生的词汇学习才能达到事半功倍的效果。

Abstract:As a means of human thinking and cognition, metaphor is closely connected with vocabulary. This article introduces the definition of conceptual metaphor, the connection between conceptual metaphor and vocabulary acquisition. It argues that due attention should be given to the knowledge of conceptual metaphor in English vocabulary acquisition and teaching, with emphasis paid on their metaphorical meaning and their culture background. Only in this way can students see quick improvement in their vocabulary acquisition.
