A View of the Main Point of the Lixue in Terms of the Problem Consciousness in the Course of Its Rise

This paper makes a specific investigation of the problem consciousness in the course of the rise of the Lixue in terms of interpretational thinking. Through a successive analysis of the orientations of those pioneer thinkers of the Classical Chinese Prose Movement, the Recovery of the Jinxue, and the Establishment of the Lixue, the paper comes to the conclusion that the problem consciousness of the Lixue lies in the issue of how to integrate ultrarealistic pursuit with realistic concern, which also bases the development, evolution and disintegration of the Lixue. From a current view, the above issue acts as a basic principle of grasping the essence of the Lixue, from which we may draw some useful insight.
