Study on the liberal and arts education of physical institutions

With social and economic development, the society cries out much higher requirements on the comprehensive quality of physical talents'. For the students studying at physical institutes, how to satisfy the updated requirements? For the physical institutes, how to insist on and carry out the concept of scientific development, and how to combine professional education with comprehensive education? These questions concern not only students' personal career life, but also physical institutes choice of growth path to realize sustainable development. We believe that, it is a must to improve the level of liberal and arts education at physical institutes, as an important part of education reform at physical institutes, to create more physical talents that meet the needs of social development. In fact, of future challenges and starting from the reality, we should attach great importance to developing liberal education at physical institutes in a sustainable manner, with optimized knowledge structure and improved course design. We should also reinforce the strength of faculty team and improve the style of study at physical institutes to enhance students' humanistic spirits.
