从“焚书坑儒”窥探秦始皇对史学的重视

秦始皇＂焚书坑儒＂向来遭到众人尤其是文人学者的唾骂。在其眼中,＂焚书坑儒＂对文化的破坏之深殆无疑义。由于＂焚书坑儒＂使得秦朝极少史学著作流传至今,有人因此痛骂秦始皇对史学的轻视态度,也认为此事严重阻碍了史学的发展。但事实并不全然如此,结合近年来对＂焚书坑儒＂的实解,我们反而可以清楚地窥探到秦始皇对史学的高度重视,其中所折射出的秦大一统观念对史学的发展起到了一定的促进作用。

Looking Into the Great Attention of Qin Shihuang Paid to Historiography by the Burning of the Books and Burying the Confucian Scholars Alive

The breaking events that Qin Shi Huang gave orders to burn the books and bury the Confucian scholars alive,has always been reviled by most people,particularly the scholars.In their eyes,there is no doubt that Burning books and Burying the Confucian scholars alive destroyed Chinese Culture a lot.Because of the breaking events,just nominal historiography work has come down from time immemorial,so somebody curses Qin Shi Huang＇s attitude of despising the historiography.Besides,in someone＇s opinion,it strongly hinder the development of the historiography.In fact,it is not quite ture.Combining the fact of Burning of the books and Burying the Confucian scholars alive figured out in recent years,instead we can clearly look into the great attention that Emperor Qin paid to historiography,which reflects that the concept of unification promoted the development of historiography in some extent.
