本文尝试将德国功能理论与美国高校介绍翻译相结合,从功能翻译理论的角度,着重在目的论,以及面向译文的文本分析的层面上,选取较有研究意义的美国高校介绍翻译,进行个案研究和分析,并对目前美国高校介绍翻译的现状进行评论,指出其价值及不足,使这一领域的翻译发展能日趋走向成熟。

A Functional Theory of Translation of American Colleges and Universities Introduction

This paper tends to apply Germany Functional Theory into the introduction translation of American higher in-stitutions.Adopting the translation-oriented text analysis from the perspective of functional theory,especially from skopos theory,the author makes detailed case studies of the introduction translation of American higher institutions and gives comments on the current translation situation of this field,pointing out both the value and its setbacks in order to make it a more mature industry.
