独立学院非英语专业学生英语学习与批判性思维的培养

我国传统的大学英语教学重视语言能力的训练，片面强调词汇记忆，机械模仿，而忽视学生独立分析问题，创新求异，批判性思维能力的培养。随着国内教育体制的改革，地方院校纷纷成立了依托本部教育资源的，以吸纳更多莘莘学子的独立学院。但是，这类高校的学生英语基础较差，学习英语的积极性不高，课业成绩普遍不佳，批判性思维能力水平也不高。本文主要探讨了当前独立学院大学英语教学的现状与问题，并提出了独立学院大学英语教学过程中培养学生批判性思维能力的方法。

On English Learning of Non-English Majors in Indepen-dent Colleges and the Cultivation of Their Critical Think-ing

Chinese traditional college English classroom teaching only emphasizes language capacity training, word memorizing and mechanical imitation, but neglects training students＇ inde-pendent ability to analyze and solve problems, innovation ability and critical thinking ability. As the reformation of Chinese edu-cational system, a lot of independent colleges come into being which depend on the resources of the original college to recruit more students. But students in these colleges have no high Eng-lish proficiency and enthusiasm. So they are usually not good at English, let alone critically thinking in English. This article dis-cusses the present situation and problems of independent colleges English teaching, and comes up with the way to train students＇ critical thinking ability in the process of English learning.
