| Abstract: | Misfortunes befalling Yuan Zhongdao in his middle age contributed to his anxiety for death and resolution on the matter of life and/or death.He was compelled to renounce his bad habits of extravagance and merry-making.His change in character and mentality had shortened the self-adaptation proccss of Gonganpai in temperament and was reflecting the profound introspection on the mode of existence for the writers of Gonganpai. |
