The evolution on the Domestic and Foreign Policy of Turkey under AKP

Turkey has made great adjustments on domestic and foreign affairs since Erdogan served as Prime Minister; Internally, AKP combated military forces, expanding the influence of emerging sectors. In addition, the government adjusted the economic policies to promote the rapid development of the economy, which won the support of the people. Externally, the AKP government diversified its foreign policies, showing greater independence, meanwhile, the AKP government implemented ＂Zero Problem＂ policy to handle the relations with neighbors, thus improving the relations with Middle East countries. After political changes in the Middle East, the AKP government adjusted its Middle East policy, which strengthened Turkey＇s regional power status, thus, the AKP government＇s domestic and foreign policy has been further carried out.
