| Abstract: | The paper is going to restudy the novel Hongfen written by SU Tong, with the comparison of the subject of desolate appearing in ZHANG Ai-ling's novels. The paper is divided into two parts to analyze how SU Tong managed to replenish, inherit and develop the subject. The first part analyzes the differences between Hongfen and ZHANG Ai-ling's novels in the aspect of showing human nature while the other part concentrates on the function of analogy and metaphor. |
