| 摘 要： | 战后印度高等教育规模急剧扩张，但普及义务教育的目标却迟迟未能实现。这种矛盾状况对印度教育乃至国家其他方面的发展都产生了一定的消极影响。出现这一“高扩低缓”状况的原因复杂多样，其中传统文化因素不容忽视。本文试图从种姓制度、宗教传统、语言、男尊女卑的封建传统等四个方面来探寻这一矛盾的历史文化根源。
