The Advantage and Function of University Libraries in the Language Cultural Communication between China and Foreign Countries

The paper introduces the English material center, which is established by British cultural committee, in the libraries of some universities of foreign studies in China for the transmitting of language and spreading of local culture. Based on the introduction, the paper demonstrates the advantages and function of university libraries in the cultural communication between China and foreign countries. The approach adopted by British cultural committee is worth learning by our relevant departments to trasmit and popularize Chinese in the world.
