Abstract: | Crocodile Dundee, set in both the Australian Outback and the New York City, is a rather successful comedy film which focuses on the exotic love of the two characters. From an intercultural communication approach, this paper analyzes the cultural shock and adaption experienced by the Australian hero and American heroine. The culture shocks in the film happened when they in turn came to a new cultural setting, and eventually it reveals that two characters have been developing from culture shock to adaptation. |
