| 摘 要： | 追求自由是人类社会最大的幸福目标之一,知识是人类争取自由不可或缺的重要武器,而图书馆则是收集、储存、传播知识的重要机构和制度,是人类追求知识自由的产物。在经历了古代、近代、现代图书馆学人长期而艰辛的实践后,图书馆知识自由的理念最终得以形成和确立。目前,我国图书馆界对知识自由的认识还处于研究与探索阶段,但知识自由已成为图书馆界的研究热点。从某种意义上说,图书馆的发展历史就是一部人类争取知识自由的斗争史。
