Enlightenment of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs on Ideological and Political Education of Applied College Students

Maslow,a representative of the humanistic school,proposed the Hierarchy of Needs in his book"Theories of Human Motivation".He divided human needs from low to high into physiological needs,safety needs,social needs,respect needs,and self-actualization needs.This theoretical framework provides a new direction for the ideological and political teachers of applied colleges to analyze the physical and mental conditions of students.Starting from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and guided by the"National Implementation Plan of Vocational Education Reform",ideological and political teachers can discover the problems according to the needs of applied college students,summarize the experience and lessons through problem analysis and master the laws,and complete the ideological and political education of college students with high quality.
