| Abstract: | The chain rule is the key of the derivative of the compound function. It is convenient to the calculation of the derivative of the compound function. The significance of the rule is often ignored. The paper shows that the quantum calculus is beneficial for understanding the chain rule as the chain rule does not work in quantum calculus. |
