| Abstract: | This paper attempts,through analyzing the love between Cathy and Hareton,to highlight the fact that the process of civilization is that of negating barbarism continuously and finally effecting a reconciliation with barbarism,and that by means of great love,barbarism can be tamed and civilization will win at last. |
