基于LPR系统的车牌字符分割技术的研究

车牌字符分割是车牌识别系统的关键技术。针对车牌字符分割的难点,作者提出了一种利用扫描线两次扫描消除车牌字符串上下干扰的方法;然后利用全局分割和局部调整的技术实现单个字符的分割。实验表明,该方法能有效的避免干扰因素的影响,满足实时性需要。

The Research on License Plate Character Segmentation Based on LPR

License Plate Character Segmentation is the key technique in License Plate Recognition (LPR).In view of the difficulties in License Plate Character Recognition,after image pretreatment,the paper adopts the scan-line to elim- inate disturbance factors on the top and bottom of license string by scanning twice.Single character is picked out by global partition with adjustment in local areas.The experiment indicates that the method meets the need of real time and higher anti-interference.
