试论郑观应的电报建设思想与实践

从19世纪70年代起，晚清重要洋务企业家与早期维新理论家郑观应，开始关注西方近代重要通信工具——电报的社会价值及其在中国的应用前景．并自80年代后广泛参与了晚清的电报建设。考察郑观应在晚清电报发展过程中的基本活动的同时。探讨其在此过程中的主要影响。可从这一个案领域揭出晚清社会在向近代转型中的某些重要特征。

On Zheng Guan-ying'thought and practice of telegraph construction

Since 1870s,Zheng Guan-ying,an important foreign-affairs entrepreneur and reforming theorist,started to pay attention to the social values of the telegraph,a kind of important modern western communication tool,and its use prospects in China,and extensively participated in the telegraph construction in Late Qing since 1880s.The paper studies Zheng Guan-ying's main actions during the course of the telegraph construction in Late Qing,and emphatically probes into his main influences,and tries hard to bring to light some important features of Late Qing's social transformation to the modern times.
