摘    要:致用理念在英国高等教育中从早期的萌芽阶段到现代与工商业的密切联系,经历了困境中的磨难与曲折,这种发展的方式是渗透式的、潜移默化的,散见于英国各时期的改革报告和立法之中。从中我们可以获得改革我国高等教育的启示,重拾我国"学以致用"的优良传统,克服读书无用的谬论。

Abstract:The pragmatic notion in British higher education has ever encountered its plights in the course of its development from the early stage to the present situation which is closely related to modern industry and commerce.The cues of its development,which is gradual and permeant,can only be tracked down in various reports and legislation concerning UK education reform in every period.Chinese higher education may well get some beneficial implications from it and regain the fine tradition of learning to meet practical needs".
