On the Possibility of Cultivating ESP Students'''' Critical Thinking by Literature Teaching

This paper examines and analyses the setting curriculum and situation of British and American Literature of undergraduate course for ESP(English For Specific Purposes) majors.It states that the teaching reform of British and American literature should adapt with the individuality of specific students and the current circumstances and to follow the trend of the times and society.We should try to make a full use of the distinctive features of literature to cultivate students' critical thinking.In the end,the paper concludes the practical teaching strategies in literature teaching motivated in accelerating students' critical thinking.
