The earth is the foundation of human survival and development.Understanding the earth has the dual significance of understanding nature and human.According to Engels’thought of Dialectics of nature,the early earth science pushed the development of the new dialectical materialist view of nature from three paths:new earth view,geological view and biological view.The achievements of modern earth science have deepened our understanding of the dialectical development of nature and indicate the scientific nature of Dialectics of nature.The new understanding of the man-land relations in Earth Science will be helpful for Dialectics of nature to respond to Western Marxist criticism and highlight the value of ecological civilization.Further studies on dialectics of nature will be of great significance to uphold and develop Marxist philosophy.
