An Analysis of the Source and Generation M ethod of T eacher Practical K now ledge

Abstract ] T his papers first makes a literature review of the sources of teacher know ledge and its generation methods . T hen it elaborates on the sources and generation methods of teacher practical knowledge . The author hold the following views :1) The sources and generation methods of teacher practical knowledge enable it to play a unique role in the practice of teaching ;2) The specific teaching contexts are the foundation of the teacher practical knowledge ;3) Teaching experience is the major source of teacher practical knowledge;4 ) Reflection on teaching and problem‐solving are the main way of generating teacher practical knowledge .It is author's expectation that these views may lead to a discourse consensus for the research of teacher practical know ledge on the one hand , and provide some implications for generating and updating teachers'practical knowledge in their teaching practice on the other hand .
