Cultural Presupposition Lost in English Listening and Its Corresponding Strategies

Listening is a basic course for English major students to enhance their listening and speaking abilities.However,cultural presupposition lost to native English countries becomes a major obstacle for them to improve their listening abilities comprehensively.Based on systematic analyses of cultural presupposition lost in listening as well as the writer’s own teaching experience,this paper tries to put forward several corresponding strategies to overcome the obstacle,which,at the same time,aims at arousing English teachers’ much more attention.
