| 摘 要： | 本文简要叙述了翻译在大学英语教学方法中的发展，分析了大学英语教学现状，指出在以培养学生的语言交际能力为最终目标的英语教学中，翻译有着不可低估的作用。教学翻译和翻译教学作为两种不同层次的教学方法，在大学英语学习的基础阶段和提高阶段分别有着各自的价值。
