Using Authentic Materials in the English Reading Classroom

People read with some purposes. The purpose , to a great degree, directs the reading. The present article discusses the advantages, the sources and the use of authentic materials in English reading teaching. Students benefit from reading authentic materials, which help them get necessary skills and adequate awareness to understand how the language is actually used.
