Abstract: | The primary objective is to report on a classroom assessment model that provides an alternative approach to assessing competencies that can be readily adapted in academic settings committed to continuous quality improvement (CQI). The procedures described in this report advance two critical areas of education. First, they provide a model for faculty to assess the impact of their teaching on student mastery of course competencies. Second, they provide a basis for applying the continuous quality improvement philosophy to the classroom. |
