| Abstract: | Endowment income is an important source of funds for American higher education institutions. This paper proceeds with the history and current situation of the contributions to American higher education, and tries to explore the charitable reasons of higher education giving and analyses the mechanism of higher education giving. Religion and cultural tradition are been viewed as the keys to the contributions to American higher education. |
