摘    要:中学英语教学大纲中词汇对英语教学起着导向作用,它决定着英语教材和内容的选择。但目前的词汇还存在着词汇量不足、实用性不够、词汇释义滞后等缺陷,成为制约学生英语综合能力提高的障碍。

Abstract:Vocabulary in English syllabus plays a guiding role in English teaching and learning. It decides what kind of teaching materials will be used. However, in the present vocabulary there still exist such defects as insuffi-ciency, impracticality and so on, which prevent students from all - round development in English.
