| 摘 要： | 《觉醒》描写了主人公艾德娜从一个丧失主体意识的传统家庭妇女成长为具有强烈女性主体意识的新女性的过程。这里具体分析了艾德娜女性主体意识觉醒的原因和其后为追求独立与自由所做出的努力和抗争;指出艾德娜最后的自杀并不是向命运屈服,而是叛逆的另一种形式,是对男权社会的无言的反抗,是对刚刚苏醒的主体意识的捍卫。

| Abstract: | The Awakening is about a woman named Edna and how she grows out of the traditional sex role and social code as a submissive wife into a sensible woman,and finally claims to be herself.This thesis makes a detailed analysis about the causes for her female subjectivity and her struggle for independence and freedom and points out her committing suicide is wordless rebellion against the male-oriented society rather than yielding to fate and is protection of the awakening subjectivity. |
