摘    要:通过对英国语言学家利奇提出的七种意义类型的分析,说明词汇的联想意义对英语词汇教学尤为重要。并提出在词汇教学中注意以下方面:1)词语的文化背景知识;2)同义词语体的差异;3)词语的搭配意义。从而提高词汇教学水平。

Abstract:This paper makes a brief analysis on the seven types of meaning proposed by Geoffrey Leech,and put an emphasis on the importance of associative meaning.Then three suggestions on how to improve college vocabulary teaching from the classification are discussed:1)In vocabulary teaching,cultural factors should be emphasized;2)discriminations of synonyms should be carefully explained;3)collocation should be paid much attention to.
