论远程教育环境下的通识教育

本文论述了通识教育及其重要性和必要性,简介了国内外高校通识教育的现状。通过对电大成人学生背景和学习需求分析及电大开展成人通识教育的优势分析,提出电大为什么需要通识教育、什么是电大的通识教育和电大如何借助远程教育平台实施适合成人学生的通识教育。评价和分析了电大开展通识教育、学生素质教育的优势,提出可操作性解决方案。

Discussion about General Education and Distance Education

The paper discusses the essentiality and necessity of General Education(GE)and it introduces the actuality of GE in domestic and foreign institutes of higher education.I t presents the questions of why RTVU needs GE,what GE is for RTVU and how RTVU develops GE based on the analysis o f the background and need of adult learners in distance education.The paper also presents some suggestions about how to complete GE in RTVU.
