| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言都有大量的委婉语，由于各个民族的文化既有相通之处又存在着差异，使得委婉语在表现形式上也因文化背景不同而存有异同。本文从英汉语中委婉语所产生的社会历史文化背景以及使用方面进行探讨。
