刍议中英习语的差异及翻译策略

本文通过对汉英习语文化的比较分析,阐明中英两国社会历史背景、生活环境、价值取向、宗教信仰、风俗习惯等方面存在的异同,并用两种语言中大量的古典文学和人生哲学方面的实例佐证,从文化的角度来揭示其规律.同时提出习语的翻译策略。

Difference between Chinese and English Idioms and the Translation Strategy

By a comparative analysis of Chinese and English idiom,clarifying the differences and similarities that lie in the social and historic backgrounds,living environments,religions and customs,etc,together with the facts existed in the classical literatures and the philosophies of the two languages,this paper attempts to shed light on the rules of idioms from the cultural perspective.Meanwhile,it also raises the translation strategies of idioms for consideration.
