The Systematic Attributes in the Semantic Development of Polysemy

As the most pervasive but thorny phenomenon in semantic field, polysemy is the issue, which countless lin-guists have always focused on. This thesis is an attempt to probe into this phenomenon of micro system from the combi-nation of diachronie and synchronic aspect, based on the theory of General System, cognitive semantics and linguistic u-niversals, etc.
