| 摘 要： | 文章阐述了西部地方高等学校教学质量下降的缘由，并针对性地提出了西部地方高等院校提高教学质量的若干建议。主要认为，明确西部地方性院校办学的目标定位及办学特色，探索多种办学模式，改革对教师业绩和学生成绩的考核指标体系，加强教学质量监控与评价体系建设，是提高西部地方性院校教学质量的根本出路。
