| Abstract: | Gui Fu's methodology of the lexical reconstruction is regarded as a proper approach to his Lexical Anthology of Chinese Dictionary(Shuowenyizheng). As the Chinese Dictionary by Xu Shen is intended to account for the classic books,Gui Fu pursues a precise interpretation of the lexicographer's implications with sufficient quotations.Hence the methodology of the lexical reconstruction is an invaluable gist of Gui Fu. |
