Investigation and Analysis on Senior High School English Listening Teaching Materials and Suggestions for the Practical Use

Through a detailed statistics and analysis on the listen-ing teaching materials of senior high school English textbooks （compulsory）, we found that the content arrangement and exercise design are too difficult, and the textbooks lack continuity and systematicness, without a targeted and professional guidance for the comprehensive improvement of students＆#39; listening ability. In this regard, the writer makes an in-depth thinking on these is-sues, and makes recommendations on the selection and improve-ment of senior high school English listening teaching materials in the background of the new curriculum reform.
