古代学校人才选拔标准的历史演变及启示

学校是人才选拔的重要场所,选拔功能是学校教育的重要功能之一。本文对我国封建时代的学校选才标准进行了系统梳理,发现我国的选拔标准以隋唐为界线,隋唐以前倾向于以举荐为主,考试为辅,而隋唐以后则以考试成绩为主要或唯一的选拔标准,此时,学校成为科举(人才选拔制度)的附庸。

Historical Changes and Enlightenment of the Standard of Selecting Talents in Ancient Schools

Schools play an important role in selecting talents and the selection is one of their most important functions. The paper reviews the standard of selecting talents in schools in feudal times in China, and discovers the fact that the selecting standard was formed into two stages: one stage was the period prior to Sui and Tang Dynasty, in which the recommendation worked mainly and examinations did some supplementary work; the other stage was the period after Sui and Tang Dynasty, in which examination results were almost regarded as the only standard of selection. And from that time on, schools were reduced to be the dependency of imperial examination.
