| 摘 要： | 十九世纪新加坡华侨秘密会党从无到有，发展迅猛，其原因是多方面的。从当时的政治形势，华侨秘密会党的经济与社会情感功能，以及秘密会党自身的约束功能等三个方面可以见出当时华侨秘密会党兴盛的可能性及必然性。
