中文菜单的英译初谈

摘    要:该文通过对一些菜名翻译语言结构进行研究学习,概述中国菜名的翻译方法,对中文和英文进行比较,分析中国和西方文化之间的差异,找出由文化差异,如地方习俗、生活习惯、思维方式、语言心理等所引起的中文菜名翻译难的原因。

Abstract:This paper summarizes the ways to translate the names of Chinese Dishes by surveying some names in Chinese menu. Meanwhile, this paper also makes a comparison between source language and target language, analyses the different culture bewteen Chinese and the West, to find out the difficulties in translating names of Chinese dishes caused by culture differences, such as local customs, living habit, ways of thinking, psychology of language and so on.
