| 摘 要： | 本文首先试图从动因与模式两个角度描述语言社会发展的基本规律,指出人文及国力因素对语言的宏观发展所起的重要作用并剖析了分化与融合这两种语言发展的主要方向;在此基础上,文章对当今世界英语的现状进行了分析,认为无论从外部环境还是语言本身来看英语都具有成为国际通用语言的条件;最后,文章对英语发展的前景作出了预测.

| Abstract: | The present paper tries to describe the basic law of the social development of language. It points out that humanistic factor and state power play important role in the macro development of language. The paper analyzes the English language today, and arguesthat English can be an intenational language. Finally, the paper provides the future of English. |
