Li Qingzhao,a woman without rights to speak in a man-in-authority society with Confucianism as its mainstream of ideology,joined the ranks of literati with the album of her works Shu Yu Ci.This paper will discuss women's conciousness of awareness,independence and self-respect indicated in the works of Li Qingzhao from the contents of Lives of love and national and family enmities,the spirits of independence,equality and enterprise and the flower images revealing the noble character of Li Qingzhao herself.
