略论新文学运动对诗性的轻慢及后果

新诗在将近一百年的发展中,没有能取得古典诗歌那样的成就,原因固然是多方面的,但新文学运动初期轻慢诗性肯定是重要原因。轻慢诗体,将诗与文、诗与(白)话等同,新诗文体一直受到合法性质疑;轻慢诗语,单纯强调语言的工具性,忽视语言的诗性,将诗歌语言与日常语言及口语等同,抛弃语言传统,导致新诗语言浅白,与几千年的诗歌传统脱节;轻慢诗情,或以科学之真否定艺术之情,或缺少节制,走向滥情,致使诗歌矫饰空洞。

On the Neglect of Poetic Nature in the May 4th Literature Movement and Its Consequences

The Modern Poetry has not reached the same high level as the Chinese Ancient Poetry did in its near 100 years'development.There are many reasons to explain it,however,neglecting of the poetic nature is one of the most important reasons.It brings some problems to the modern poetry.Firstly,the form of poem has been neglected,so poem,prose,and daily chat are considered as the same thing.Whether the New Poetry's form is an acceptable form has been suspected.Secondly,poetic language has been neglected.Language is simply seen as a tool of communication,so nobody pays attention to the poetic nature of language.The poetic language isn't identified with daily language and spoken language either,and the tradition of language is deserted.As a result,the language of poets become straightforward and frank,lacking the poetic significance.Thirdly,the emotion in the poetry has been neglected.It contributes to the artificial and empty poetry whether science excludes emotion or emotion is exaggerated.
