尽管古今中外对人的全面发展问题理解不尽相同,但都与教育特别是人文教育密切相关.在奉科学为圭臬的当今世界,追寻生命的意义,传承人类的文明,实现人和社会全面、协调、可持续的发展,无疑需要人文教育来扶正失衡的天平,充当“基石“的角色.人文教育是人的全面发展的基础,其在高等教育中的基础性地位,主要体现在为科学教育启迪方向,为人格建构奠定基础,是人全面发展的内在要求,对整个社会的人文素质担负引导、示范和提升责任.必须从坚持社会主义办学方向的高度来加强人文教育,促进人的全面发展.

Humanity Education Is the Basis of the Realization of the People's Overall Development

Though the Chinese and the foreigners of past and today have different opinions on understanding people's overall development, they are closely related to education especially humanity education. In today's world where science is the guideline, there is no doubt that it needs humanity education to support the scale of balance and to be the "footstone" to pursue the meaning of life, to carry on the human civilization, and to complete the development of the people and the society fully, harmoniously, and continuously. Humanity education is the basis of the people's overall development, which reflects the enlightening goal of science education and lays the foundation of personality structure as the top position in advanced education. Also, humanity education is an inner requirement of the people's overall development; it takes the responsibility of guiding, demonstrating, and developing the people's personal quality all over the society. We must stick to education with socialist characteristics and strengthen humanity education to improve the people's overall development .
