Review of Structured Whole Person Development Program of the Vocational Training Council in Hong Kong and the Implications

The structured whole person development program of the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council has unique educational philosophy,course contents,teaching modes and assessment methods,and it aims to help students develop a variety of key skills,to promote the comprehensive development of students in five aspects including morality,intellectuality,body sociality and aesthetics,and nurture students to become "structured whole person".Accordingly,the teaching of ideological and political theory course in higher vocational colleges in the Mainland can refer to its characteristics and experiences to enhance the teaching effectiveness,and the following measures can be taken: strengthen the reform of student-centered philosophy,cultivate high-quality public elective courses,expand the extraterritorial function of ideological and political theory course,enhance the teaching effectiveness,etc.
