| Abstract: | It is well known that the gap between academic research and industrial practice is particularly large in the field of statistical quality control, representing one special branch of the science stochastics. This paper introduces an intelligent medium, which is developed, aiming at fitting the gap by means of modern information technologies. The medium or system, as it is called in the remainder, can be used for training purposes in the engineering sciences as well as for solving problems in industrial practice. The system is hierarchically ordered, where each hierarchy consists of modules allowing an easy extension of the system. Thus, it is possible to have it always represent the latest state of the art. |
